THE NAME
Lucky Leif draws its name from the legendary Leif Erikson, the audacious Viking explorer who, around 1000 AD, was the first European to set foot in North America. Known as “Leif the Lucky,” his incredible journey of discovery and courage perfectly mirrors our own passion for pushing boundaries and embracing the unknown. Just like Leif, we believe that fortune favors the bold, and our products are designed to inspire your own lucky adventures in the great outdoors.

At Lucky Leif, our designs are rooted in the harmony of nature and minimalism. We believe in creating pieces that are both simple and enduring, reflecting the beauty and balance found in the natural world. But our philosophy goes beyond design; it extends to our commitment to a sustainable and eco-friendly business model. We meticulously consider every step of our process, from the materials we use to our production methods, ensuring we minimize our environmental footprint. As part of this dedication, we’re proud to donate a portion of our proceeds to The Ocean Cleanup, supporting their vital work in ridding the world’s oceans of plastic pollution.
THE FOUNDER
Hi. I’m Jose Leon, the founder and designer behind Lucky Leif. This is my wonderful and supportive wife, Andrea. As a self-taught graphic designer with a deep passion for nature and minimalism, I’ve personally designed every detail you see here—from our products to our website, colors, and logos.
Our journey began in 2018, born from a simple frustration: the endless search for a well-made, minimalist t-shirt that could seamlessly transition from a relaxed day at home to an outdoors adventure. What I found online was often either too expensive or overly flashy. So, I decided to create my own perfect tee from scratch.
It was the start of our awesome tri-blend tees. Folks seemed to like them. So much so that we also designed sweatshirts, hats, hoodies, and other products, that like the t-shirts, were simple, functional, extremely well-made and long-lasting.
